A wintertime tradition in Philadelphia, the 18th anniversary season of the Blue Cross RiverRink at Penn’s Landing will end on March 4, 2012.  So, it’s the final week to “Think Rink,” as the Blue Cross RiverRink located on Columbus Boulevard and Market Street, is the perfect way to enjoy the great outdoors and fresh air fun for everyone!

Celebrate the American presidency and our freedom to vote during Presidents Day Weekend at the National Constitution Center!  As the nation prepares for the presidential election in November, get to know the 44 men who have held the title of President of the United States of America.  Visitors to the Center will have the chance to step into the shoes of our nation’s Commander-in-Chief through interactive shows, craft activities and special tours.  Events will take place from Saturday, February 18 through Monday, February 20, 2012, and are FREE with regular museum admission.  PLEASE NOTE: The Center will open early at 9:30 a.m. on Sunday, February 19.

The Great Backyard Bird Count is an annual four-day event that engages bird watchers of all ages in counting birds to create a real-time snapshot of where the birds are across the continent. Visitors to the National Constitution Center during the month of February will have the opportunity to honor the contributions that African Americans have made throughout history during the National Constitution Center’s African American History Month Celebration.  Guests visiting the Center throughout the month can participate in a variety of interactive programs that celebrate the lives of iconic figures including Frederick Douglass, Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr., Rosa Parks and President Barack Obama, whose vision, courage and sacrifice made real the principles our country was founded upon.  In addition, the Center’s main exhibition, The Story of We the People, illuminates the trials and triumphs of African Americans throughout history.
