New Year's Eve Celebration at Longwood:  Kennett Square, PA

Ring in the New Year with musical treats around every corner and fun activities for the entire family! Face painting, balloon artists and a craft station will delight young guests. New Year's at Noon  December 31
Be the first to ring in the New Year … kid-style! From New York to Paris to Beijing, the entire Garden State Discovery Museum will be singing, dancing and counting down to 2011 on Friday, December 31 with a trio of celebrations. Since hoopla is more than half the fun, we’ll count down to 10 a.m., noon and 2 p.m. The Discovery Museum, 2040 Springdale Road in Cherry Hill, N.J., will be open 9:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Admission of $10.95 for 12 months and older; $9.95 for seniors provides access to all the interactive exhibits plus New Year’s at Noon activities. The party continues Saturday, Jan. 1 when the Museum opens at 11 a.m. and welcomes visitors in pajamas for free for the first hour. Mayor Michael A. Nutter announced that the Delaware River Waterfront Corporation (DRWC) will continue to produce not one but two fireworks shows this New Year’s Eve, December 31, 2010, due to the generous support of the new presenting sponsor, SugarHouse Casino.  In addition to the traditional show at Midnight, there will again be an earlier show at 6:00 PM, with Twice the fireworks, Twice the fun, presented by SugarHouse Casino.  Both shows will be choreographed to unique soundtracks and launched from barges in the middle of the Delaware River with clear views from both Philadelphia and Camden.  www.visitphilly.com/NewYears for more details.
