In partnership with the Greater Philadelphia Martin Luther King Day of Service, join us for this annual volunteer event in honor of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.



Martin Luther King, Jr. and Inauguration Day Celebration

National Constitution Center: Philadelphia, PA

Visitors of all ages are encouraged to join the National Constitution Center for a special daylong celebration commemorating Martin Luther King, Jr. and his lifelong dedication to service as well as the 57th Presidential Inauguration.



“The Power of Voices”

Delaware Children’s Museum: Wilmington, DE

The DCM will celebrate the work and memory of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. in an interactive program and gallery called “The Power of Voices.” Young visitors can hear Dr. King’s voice and express their own dreams for the future through words, pictures & song.



MLK Family Day

National Museum of American Jewish History: Philadelphia, PA

On Dr. King’s birthday, commemorate the legacy of this American icon by exploring the challenges and blessings of freedom and sharing what freedom means to you. Free and open to the public.



Sharing the Heritage!

African American Museum: Philadelphia, PA

Join AAMP and the Citizens Bank Foundation as we celebrate the life and legacy of Dr. King! Featuring events at AAMP as well as off-site locations, this day of activities, learning, direct service and community celebration is appropriate for all ages. Free admission!




Art and Service Workshop

Philadelphia Museum of Art

Make art and give back to your community! Art made at the Museum will be distributed to people in need throughout Philadelphia. Enjoy a reading by illustrator E. B. Lewis, whose books share the message of love and service. This event is presented with MANNA (Metropolitan Area Neighborhood Nutrition Alliance), Cascarones Por La Vida Art Fund, and the African American Children’s Book Project. All ages are welcome; no tickets required.  Martin Luther King, Jr. Day will be “Pay What You Wish” Museum Admission
