Gingerbread House Competition & Display: Lahaska, PA

Gingerbread house competition for over $3,400 in cash prizes in such categories as : Traditional, Authentic Reproduction of a Significant Building, Amateur, Unusual 3-Dimensional Creation Student (ages 13 to 18) and KidsOnly! (ages 12 and under). A visual delight, the entries are displayed throughout the holiday season in the Village Gazebo.


Shadybrook Farm Holiday Light Show: Yardley PA
Experience the magic of millions of lights illuminating acres of farmland at the Shady Brook Farm 2012 Holiday Light Show! Enjoy whimsical light displays and familiar characters. Drive through the Holiday Light Show in the comfort of your own car or enjoy the show on a horse-drawn hayride. Open November 21, 2012 through January 6, 2013 dusk to 10 pm.


Winter Wonderland Holiday Decorations at Fonthill: Doylestown, PA

Santa’s Furry Workshop: Open select days from November 17- December 31, 2012
In addition to the great character photos that you have come to expect at Sesame Place, Santa will also be available to listen to Christmas lists and pose for family photos. Trader Bert’s is transformed into Santa’s Furry Workshop, where guests can create memories that last a lifetime during A Very Furry Christmas at Sesame Place. Kids and adults alike will enjoy talking with a cheerful interactive snowman before being greeted by joyful elf attendants who guide them inside Santa's Furry Workshop as they eagerly await a visit with Santa Claus. Children are invited to sit on Santa’s lap and pose for a photo that will forever capture the memory of their Christmas experience at Sesame Place. Rides open as well!

The Brandywine River Museum will be all dolled up for the holidays with a "step-in" dollhouse whose rooms are filled with exquisite hand-crafted furnishings, a large display of rare antique dolls, the popular O-gauge model train display covering 2,000 feet of track, and thousands of whimsical "critter"ornaments made from natural materials.

The Festival of Lights: Media, PA
Rose Tree Park sparkles during the holiday season with the annual Festival of Lights. Dozens of decorated lit trees and festive displays draw visitors back each year to stroll the glimmering walkways and grounds, linger in the festive atmosphere, and pay a visit to childhood figures such as Charlie Brown & the Peanuts Gang and Santa & his Reindeer. The Festival of Lights opens in early December with a tree lighting ceremony featuring choral performers and the arrival of Santa Claus. The trees are lit nightly from 5:30 - 9:30 for public enjoyment.

A Philadelphia holiday tradition, the light show is every hour on the hour from November 23 through December 31, 2012. Free and open to the public.


Comcast Center Holiday Spectacular: Philadelphia, PA
A 15 minute digital display of scenes from the Nutcracker, magical sleighride through the PA countryside, children's choirs and more seen on the Comcast Experience Video Wall. Performances are seen at the top of each hour from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. at the Comcast Center from Thanksgiving Day through New Year's Day. Free and open to the public.
