Community Toy Swap
hosted by Chester County Mothers of Multiples Club
Donate your outgrown, gently-used toys, and use them to trade for "new" ones. All proceeds and leftover toys will be donated to the Coatesville Community, Youth & Women’s Alliance (www.CYWA.org).
How It Works:
STEP ONE: GIVE
…us your outgrown, gently used toys on Thursday, November 8th from 7 to 9 PM at CCMOMC’s Vendor Social at Peirce Middle School. In exchange, we’ll give you redemption tickets.
STEP TWO: TAKE
…your tickets to Mary C. Howse Elementary School on Saturday, November 10th from 10 AM to 12 PM and shop for toys you want to take home.
*Participants are not required to swap. Donations are accepted and appreciated.
Swap Policy:
CCMOMC will accept traditional toys, electronic toys, outdoor toys, sports equipment, movies, video games, CDs and books (limit 9 books per swapper). Donations should be clean and in good, working condition. CCMOMC reserves the right to refuse any donations in violation of this policy.
We will NOT accept: stuffed animals, bedding & decor, baby/children’s gear- such as car seats, strollers, pack’n’plays, etc; or clothing other than those designed for dress up/pretend play.
Participants looking to “swap” for new toys will receive tickets based on the value of their donation. All toys are subject to a preliminary inspection before redemption tickets are issued.
Electronic toys will only get full ticket value if workers can verify their functionality.
All donations and trade-ins are offered AS-IS. No returns, refunds or exchanges will be offered for any item. CCMOMC makes no representation about the quality, functionality or safety of a toy. Swappers are encouraged to use their best judgment in selecting toys.
Valuing Toys
Toys will be valued based on their size: XL, Large, Medium, Small, Electronics, Books and Media (DVDs, video games, CDs). Loose figurines and other small items will be placed into a gallon-sized plastic bag. Swappers will receive tickets for each bag filled.
Swappers wanting to take a toy with a value greater than their ticket total will have the opportunity to purchase additional tickets. Tickets are priced 3 for $5.00. No money is issued for unused tickets.
**CCMOMC Swap Organizers have final say on the value of all toys. Swappers reserve the right not to donate a toy if they believe it to be undervalued by the organizers. Once tickets have been issued for a toy, no item can be “refunded” or returned. Swap participants agree to these terms in accepting their redemption tickets.**
