NEA’s national reading celebration takes place each year on or near March 2, the birthday of Dr. Seuss. Across the country, thousands of schools, libraries, and community centers participate by bringing together kids, teens, and books, and you can too! This year’s event will showcase "The Lorax" book as well as NBC/Universal's "The Lorax."
We at PlaygroundBuzz have also compiled a list of local events celebrating this classic book and the birthday of Dr. Seuss. Celebrate a love of reading with your child and explore some of these fun Philadelphia-area activities:
Feb 25 - All Target stores will be reading the Lorax and offering special giveaway bags
March 2, 3 & 4 - Pottery Barn Kids celebrates Dr. Seuss with special storytime each day
March 2 - Doylestown Bookshop's evening event will include a reading of "The Lorax," musical performances, cake and more.
