In honor of Martin Luther King, Jr.’s lifelong dedication to justice, equality, and service for the greater good, the National Constitution Center will once again join with Global Citizen’s Greater Philadelphia Martin Luther King, Jr. Day of Service for a daylong commemoration on Monday, January 20, 2014. The museum’s Martin Luther King, Jr. Day activities are part of a new series of Macy’s Family Days at the Constitution Center, courtesy of The Macy’s Foundation. For just $5, visitors will receive access to the museum and all activities in connection with the important civic holiday.

Celebrate the document that President Franklin D. Roosevelt called “the great American charter of personal liberty” during the National Constitution Center’s Bill of Rights celebration. Featuring family-friendly programs and activities that offer insight into the evolution of the Bill of Rights from its ratification through today, the anniversary commemoration will take place Saturday, December 14 – Monday, December 16, 2013. Special events in connection with the museum’s current feature exhibition Capture the Moment: The Pulitzer Prize Photographs, also are planned throughout the weekend.
